On January 7, the production crew stated, "We've established an Instagram account in order to share with our fans."  However, it's been noted that the account in question had already been under the management of SBS, so they had simply changed the title to the "official account" of 'Running Man,' raising confusion.
In one interview, SBS explained, "It is true that it had originally been run as SBS's global account, but we changed it to 'Running Man's official account from today on," stating there should be no problem.  SBS added, "It was an internal decision to use an existing account instead of creating a new one."

However, netizens are reportedly whispering amongst themselves, "Isn't this just a trick to increase the number of followers on that existing one?"  Who cares!  This just gets it out there more for devoted fans that there is now an Instagram account they can follow! Hurrah!  Follow @runningman_sbs.

Running Man | Cast Members Interact with Fans On Social Media To Win Games

Running Man 2016 | If you've watched at least one episode of the Korean entertainment programs "Running Man" or "Infinite Challenge," you'll know that Yoo Jae Suk is not the most tech-savvy among his peers.

Regardless, Yoo Jae Suk won the latest "Running Man" race, which required heavy usage of social media.

In the beginning of the Jan. 3 episode of "Running Man," the cast members created social media accounts to use for the day. The cast members would post their missions on the account and follow the fans' instructions from the comments section.

Most "Running Man" cast members welcomed the new rule. Lee Kwang Soo even posted a cute selfie on his newly-made account.

However, Yoo Jae Suk struggled to create the social media account, let alone post anything. "It's so hard. I don't belong (in the world of) social media," Yoo Jae Suk said.

As they played the games, Yoo Jae Suk was quick to pick up on social media.

On the last round of games, the cast members removed nametags of their targets.

On one hand, Yoo Jae Suk removed Haha and Ji Suk Jin's nametags and became the last surviving cast member. Consequently, Yoo Jae Suk was the winner of the episode's games.

On the other hand, Lee Kwang Soo was the first person to have his nametag removed.

As a punishment, Lee Kwang Soo wore a monkey suit and had a walk of shame in public. His monkey suit was a bright pink jumpsuit with monkey dolls attached on the shoulders.

Fans surrounded and asked him for a monkey doll, and Lee Kwang Soo seemed thoroughly embarrassed to show up in public in the suit.

The next "Running Man" episode, titled "The House -- Hopscotch," will air on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 4:50 p.m. KST on SBS. Stay tuned for more "Running Man" stories on K-Entertainment!
